Chief Technology Officer

As Chief Technology Officer, Mr. Ambs applies more than 30 years of experience developing leading-edge technologies for military and commercial applications.  He has led the engineering and technical staff at organizations such as the Army's Rapid Equipping Force (REF) and the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization (JIEDDO) to create, develop and assess emerging technologies in response to urgent operational needs.  He holds more than twenty U.S. patents in unmanned vehicles, sensor technologies, sensor deployment systems and signal processing.

Current interests and projects include Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) systems; standoff biometric data collection; brainwave-based deception detection and vocational aptitude assessments; biometric protection technologies, improvised weapon proliferation; and organizational strategies for accelerating the pace of innovation in military technologies.

Mr. Ambs holds a Master of Science in Geophysics from the University of Houston and an Advanced Certificate for Post-Master's Study from Johns Hopkins University. He is a 1976 graduate of Old Dominion University with a Bachelor of Science in Geology.

Mr. Ambs holds more than twenty U.S. patents.
