ARLINGTON, VA, April 9, 2012 – Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I³) announced today that it was issued a modification exercising the second option year on the Technology Management task order under the Biometrics Operations and Support Services – Unrestricted (BOSS-U) contract in support of the Department of Defense’s (DoD) Biometrics Identity Management Agency (BIMA). This extension brings the cumulative value of the contract to $30.5 million.

In this third year, I³ will continue to support BIMA in all Technology Management tasks, including biometric examination services for iris, latent print, 10-print, face and palms submitted from around the world to the DoD Automated Biometric Identification System (ABIS). The I³ Team currently staffs 55 employees on this contract. The majority of work is performed at the BIMA facility in Clarksburg, WV.

I³ was awarded the Technology Management task order in March of 2010 as part of the BOSS-U Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract, providing biometric support and services. The original BOSS-U ID/IQ contract has a three-year base period of performance with two one-year options and a total contract ceiling of $497 million.

Ambs Recognized as One of Greater Washington's Finest Chief Technology Officers

ARLINGTON, VA, March 28, 2012 – Ideal Innovations, Inc. (I³) announced today that Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Loran Ambs is a 2012 SmartCXO Award winner and will be honored tonight at the Washington SmartCEO banquet at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center in College Park, MD. The SmartCXO Awards celebrate the distinguished achievements of 40 of Greater Washington's finest management executives.

Mr. Ambs is being honored for his creative management vision, leadership philosophies, innovative strategizing and undeniable work ethic as CTO.

"Last year, Loran went above and beyond his role as CTO, deploying to Afghanistan to provide rapid technological solutions to the U.S. Army," said Bob Kocher, president and CEO of I³. "He worked on enhancing protection for the soldiers on patrol by conducting and collecting surveillance and reconnaissance for national security, and we're excited that he will be recognized for those achievements tonight."

Mr. Kocher has made a positive impact on the security of the U.S. with his innovative spirit and takes pride in anticipating and confronting emerging threats and integrating new technologies in law enforcement, biometrics, identity management, information systems, force protection and engineering. A portion of the proceeds were donated to the Wounded EOD Warrior Foundation, a 501(c) 3 non-profit organization that provides assistance to Wounded EOD Warriors and their families in the form of financial relief.
